Through the Nominative Line of the Diputació de València, the Fundació Parc Científic Universitat de València has received a grant of 10,000 euros for the Incubator of High Technology in Sustainable Agri-Food. AgrotecUV Lab aims to become a unique laboratory in Spain, located at the University of Valencia Science Park, designed for the demonstration of technologies, validation of experiments and development of prototypes in the biotech, agrotech and foodtech sectors
The lab will serve as a collaborative space to promote open innovation and the development of innovative solutions. Startups incubated at AgrotecUV will have access to this space to conduct experiments, validate technologies and develop prototypes.
The call has exceeded all expectations, receiving more than 40 high quality proposals, which has made the task of choosing the finalists especially challenging. Once again, AgrotecUV has reaffirmed its global reach, registering applications from up to six different countries.
The start-up of the laboratory will have a high economic, social and environmental impact. It will allow entrepreneurs and companies to access advanced technologies, significantly reducing development costs and increasing their competitiveness. This will generate new employment opportunities, improve the competitiveness of the Valencian agri-food sector and generate a positive impact on the local economy.
AgrotecUV Lab is expected to foster deep tech entrepreneurship by eliminating barriers to entry for startups, reducing scientific equipment costs by more than 80%. This will allow companies to allocate more resources to job creation and the development of innovative solutions, strengthening sustainability and the local economy.
AgrotecUV Lab will be an engine of innovation and sustainability for Valencia, positioning it as a leader in the transformation of the agri-food system.
