Analog Devices, among the companies selected in the program Perte Chip

The Valencian Community captures 4.54 million of the Perte Chip with four projects, among which is located the subsidiary of Analog Devices, located in the Science Park of the University of Valencia. This call from the Ministry of Industry and Tourism has granted this company 632,698.50 euros, within the initiative promotion section of the microelectronic value chain

The Ministry of Industry and Tourism has awarded €53.2 million to 37 projects submitted to the second call for proposals for the Perte Chip under the Micro-electronics Value Chain Initiatives Promotion section. Of these, €4.54 million will be channelled to the Valencia region through four projects, according to the provisional resolution. 

Among those selected is Analog Devices, a company located in the scientific-business area of the Science Park of the University of Valencia, with a proposed grant of 632,698.50 euros. The objective of these funds is to strengthen the design and production capacities of the microelectronics and semiconductor industry in Spain "from an integral perspective" and to promote strategic autonomy for the national and European Union (EU) sectors.

About  the PERTE Chip

The Strategic Project for the Recovery and Economic Transformation of Microelectronics and Semiconductors (PERTE Chip) is an innovative strategy, whose key is to push the Spanish semiconductor ecosystem to take a decisive step towards the transformation required by the sector, of great geostrategic importance in the current context of digital transformation of the economy.

It aims to strengthen the design and production capabilities of the microelectronics and semiconductor industry, the basic input of all technology sectors. To do this, it looks at the whole industry value chain in different stages: conception, design, production of chips and dynamization of the electronics and information and communication technologies (ICT) industries. It is funded by European funds under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, which is implemented through different agencies and financial instruments.
