Ubesol, whose innovation area is located in the University of Valencia Science Park (PCUV), has been distinguished with the EcoVadis Gold Medal, a recognition that places the company among the 5% best-rated companies worldwide in terms of sustainability
The manufacturer of hygiene, personal care and household cleaning products -part of the Ubesol Group, together with Maverick Laboratories- achieves this distinction thanks to its commitment to the environment, working practices and human rights, ethics and sustainable purchasing. With a percentile of 95 out of 100, the company has improved its rating to 78 points, which is an 11-point improvement over 2024, when it obtained 67 points and the silver medal.
The company emphasizes that this type of recognition reinforces its commitment to sustainability in all its ESG dimensions (environmental, social and governance) and represents an incentive to continue progressing in the areas evaluated by EcoVadis. In the words of Jorge Úbeda, CEO of Ubesol Group: "Winning the EcoVadis Gold Medal represents a remarkable boost to our strong commitment to sustainability. Our goal now is to consolidate this level of excellence and further advance the sustainability goals projected in our strategic plan".
What does EcoVadis measure
EcoVadis is a global platform that analyzes companies' performance in sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR). It aims to measure how organizations manage environmental, social and ethical aspects in their operations and supply chains.
The evaluation system focuses on four main areas: environment, labour practices and human rights, business ethics and sustainable procurement. Based on information provided by the companies and contrasted with external sources, a score of 0 to 100 is assigned which results in a medal (bronze, silver, gold or platinum). This accreditation has become an international benchmark for demonstrating corporate commitment to sustainability.
