The objective of the activity subsidized by the City Council of Paterna in the framework of the Collaboration Agreement with the University of Valencia Science Park Foundation (FPCUV) for the development of the program of renewal, improvement and modernization of the equipment and infrastructure of the University of Valencia Science Park (PCUV) in the year 2024 has been the renewal of the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) of Building 1, which provides coverage to the ICT and Advanced Services companies of the PCUV.
Through this action, thanks to the City Council of Paterna, it has been possible to improve the protection of computer systems, telecommunications, computer networks and critical systems in general, where the risks associated with power supply with poor power quality can compromise the continuity of the activities and of the companies and other users of the Science Park.
The University of Valencia Science Park (PCUV) provides space and services to companies derived from university research (spin-offs) and to external science/technology-based companies that want to be located in research, development and innovation environments. The PCUV currently houses about a hundred innovative companies, mainly in the sectors of Biotechnology and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).
The Business Area is managed by the University of Valencia Science Park Foundation (FPCUV), the entity in charge of guaranteeing, under criteria of efficiency and sustainability, the proper functioning of the PCUV's facilities and services.
