The Spanish Association of Science and Technology Parks (APTE), which includes the University of Valencia’s Science Park (PCUV), will participate for one more year in the DES (Digital Enterprise Show 2025), the world-leading event on digital transformation, which will take place from 10 to 12 June at the Malaga Congress and Exhibition Centre (FYCMA)
APTE will attend with a delegation composed of fifty representatives of companies and entities belonging to the parks members of the association, as well as the Spanish Technological Platform for Disruptive Technologies (DISRUPTIVE). The DES consolidates itself as the largest professional forum in Europe specialising in innovation and digitalisation, bringing together more than 400 exhibiting companies and 17,000 international attendees. Key topics to be addressed include artificial intelligence, quantum computing, cyber security and intelligent data management.
Thus, APTE will have a stand next to the Spanish Technological Platform of Disruptive Technologies (DISRUPTIVE), which has funding from the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities through the State Research Agency.
As part of the activities scheduled, on Wednesday, June 11, from 10:30 to 13:00, DISRUPTIVE will organize a face-to-face B2B meeting between entities from the science and technology parks members of APTE and participants of the platform.
Two round tables focused on digital transformation
On the same day, at 13:30, APTE will hold a round table in the space 'Spain Digital Company by Lenovo', focused on the role of science and technology parks in the digital transformation, moderated by Soledad Díaz, Managing director of APTE. Pedro José Martínez Córdoba, Councillor for Economic Promotion and Trade of the City of Salamanca, representing Salamanca Tech; Marian Ibarrondo Unamunzaga, responsible for business development of the Technological Park of Euskadi; and Natalia Pérez, director of communication, innovation and institutional relations at the Malaga TechPark (PTA).
At 16:00, in the same space, DISRUPTIVE will organize another round table on key digital technologies to accelerate digital transformation, moderated by Elena García, coordinator of projects and networks of APTE. Jordi García Castillón, founder and CEO of CiberTECCH (eHealthAI Startup); Carlos Battyán Soldano, CEO and director of Menntun; Manuel Achúcarro Fernández, regional manager in Xitaso; and Raúl Orduna Urrutia, director of digital security at Vicomtech.
The day will end at 18:00 hours at the APTE stand (2B204) with a meeting with Anto Recio, responsible for digital social innovation of the Scientific and Technological Park of Extremadura. This session will address current opportunities in European projects and strategies for accessing them.

The Spanish Association of Science and Technology Parks was created in 1989 as a non-profit association whose main objective is to collaborate through the development and dissemination of science and technology parks, the renewal and diversification of productive activity, technological progress and economic development. It currently has 60 member parks spread throughout Spain, including the Science Park of the University of Valencia (PCUV). 52 of them are Partner parks, that is fully operational, 4 are Affiliates in the process of development and finally 4 members Collaborators. In 2023, these parks hosted 5,908 entities with a turnover of 28,917 million euros. These firms employ more than 161,435 people, of whom 38,656 are engaged in R & D work.
