The academic director of the own degrees of the University of Valencia, Pedro Morillo, underlined that there must be a bidirectional relationship university-companies/institutes in training and talent search.

Companies and research institutes of the Science Park have met with the academic director of own titles of University of Valencia, Pedro Morillo, and the managerof the ADEIT Foundation, Antonio Aracil, to analyze the new project of specific degrees taking into account their specific needs. "The objective of these postgraduate courses is to provide quality training adapted to the reality of the evolution of knowledge and also of business activities", underlined Pedro Morillo.

In this regard, he indicated that "there are two reasons that drive to increase the relations of companies and institutes with the manager of these titles, ADEIT". On the one hand, the hyper-specialization, that is, "the need to train students in areas of knowledge so tremendously novel about which official grades can not be updated." The evolution of technologies is much faster than the accreditation process of Aneca". And in this sense, the Universitat de València seeks "to be a reference in this area of knowledge, to provide quality and updated training".

"The second objective of the companies," Morcillo continued, "is to use postgraduate programs as a channel to obtain specialized and well-trained human resources for their organization." "The final purpose in the field of innovation is the systematization of the relationship between university and companies/institutes", said tAntonio Aracil.

Micro-specialization

At the meeting several companies have expressed their interest in participating in the design of these titles endorsed by the University and that must exceed 30 hours of training. Among them, the head of the multinational computer Red Hat, Carles Valentines, who has indicated that "it is important the agility of transmitting new content that changes very fast to recycle our technical team, mostly graduated from the University of Valencia. Micro-specialization is a key point".

This was confirmed by Marcos García, head of the industrial company B&R, who is a professor of a degree in Industry and Automation at the School of Engineering of the University (ETSE). "Students know our technological offer in this way". On the other hand, diverse biotechnological companies proposed the creation of an own title oriented to the scientific marketing.

The call for new courses will open next December and in March its approval is scheduled. The course will begin in September 2019, although it is possible to advance its opening to June. Companies can agree with the University one of the following four types of agreements: sponsorship, practices, marketing or foreign university. "If at any time of the year a company presents us a title designed for a specific or reduced group, its implementation will be carried out automatically," assured Pedro Morillo.
