The Colombian company Visualiti, specialized in the application of internet of things (ioT) in agriculture, is maintaining contacts with companies of the University of Valencia Science Park (PCUV) thanks to the International Landing of the Ibero-American Program of Science and Technology for Development (Cyted). In the next months three companies of the park will travel to South America.

This program, based on stays of entrepreneurs, aims to be an opportunity for companies in the incubation period within Iberoamerican science parks to access new markets and develop their business on an international scale in the context of the countries that make up the network.

For a week, the people in charge of Visualiti, located in the Biopacifico Science Park of Colombia, have held meetings with the technology consultancy Agroindustrial Asesores; Q'omer Bioactive Ingredients, supplier of bioactive ingredients and technical consulting services; Eolab, company with extensive experience in Earth physics and remote sensing for the study of the environment; Abensys Technologies, dedicated to energy management, telecommunications, smart cities and digital signage; the development center of Analog Devices Spain; Tohacon, integral services for renewable energies; and Xenobiotic, a company specializing in the areas of ecology, limnology, hydrobiology and ecotoxicology.

"We are dedicated to the monitoring, control and correct use of natural resources, that is, plants, soil and climate. Our goal is to increase the productivity of farmers. And we are specialized in researching and developing solutions adapted to the conditions, capacities and needs of both the farmers and their crops," explains Oriana Gómez, Director of Visualiti.

"For us," continues Laura Gómez, director of Technologies, "participation in this landing has given us the opportunity to receive knowledge and establish strategic alliances. Here you are referents in Industry 4.0. And an example of this are Analog Devices and Tohacon. In the case of Eolab, they develop complementary products to those we do in Colombia. Our technologies are similar, such as remote connectivity, analog or digital measuring devices, sensors, wireless networks and telemetry systems."

In addition to the planning of these meetings, "we have organized for them interviews with the people in charge of the Madrid Science Park and the Autonomous University of Barcelona Research Park", explains Vicent Clemente, responsible for Operations of the PCUV.

Adapting, Inceinnmat and Q'omer Bioactive Ingredients

Three companies installed in the PCUV have also been selected by the Cyted International Landing. In particular, Adapting, a consultancy and developer of business content managementsolutions, will visit the Prendho Entrepreneurship Center of the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja (Ecuador).

The company Inceinnmat, provider of technologies for industrial processes, will travel to Incubatec of the University of La Frontera (Chile). And Q'omer Bioactive Ingredients will take advantage of its stay in the Biopacifico Science Park of Colombia to establish a new headquarters of the company in the South American country.
