The start-up, linked to the University of Valencia Science Park, has monitored, live and through the web, the plays, statistics and shooting maps. "Through a tablet, actions are recorded in real time and these are uploaded to the cloud. The annotator register it in digital format and it can be shared. Until now it was done on a paper that circulated internally", explained Javier Bosch, CEO of the company.

Three years after the 2015 All-Star Game, last Sunday, July 8, the brothers Pau and Marc Gasol have challenge each other again. It has been in the charity match 'Pau vs. Marc ', which has taken place in the Girona-Fontajau municipal pavilion and has brought stars of basketball in each of the teams. In this event of great media attention, the Valencian start-up NBN23, linked to the University of Valencia Science Park, has played an important role. The company has digitized the minutes of the game, so that it can be shared live and has monitored by statistics everything that happens in the meeting from the first to the last second.

"This is the first time that we have made the digital record of a professional match. The digital record of NBN23 is really a product designed for amateur players to have the same experience as professionals. Through a tablet, actions are recorded in real time and these are uploaded to the cloud. The annotator register it in digital format and it can be shared. Until now it was done on a paper that circulated internally", explained Javier Bosch, CEO of the company.

The data has been published on the web http://pauvsmarc.nbn23.com/. Pau Gasol's team has include, among others, Felipe Reyes, Pierre Oriola, Ricky Rubio and NBA players Jimmy Batler and retired David Lee. Marc, meanwhile, has played alongside Víctor Claver, Fernando San Emeterio and the current Endesa League champion, Sergio Llull.

More than 25,000 matches

"This is a charitable match that will allocate part of the collection to help base teams with few resources," said Bosch, who believes that "as part of our corporate social responsibility we saw that we had to be there. We like to support causes that defend and promote base basketball".

The digital record of NBN23 continues to expand both nationally and internationally. This year has been used by several basketball federations as Asturias, Valencia, Madrid, tPaís Vasco, Extremadura, Murcia, Navarra, Tenerife, Ceuta, La Rioja and Aragon. And internationally, it is the NBA's supplier for the NBA Junior World Championship, as well as for the federations of China, Turkey, Belgium or Germany. They have covered more than 25,000 games on four continents. "And next year we hope to digitize above 50,000. Digital has come to stay in base basketball, "says Javier Bosch.
