ValGenetics, a company located in the business area of the University of Valencia Science Park (PCUV), has participated in Fruit Attraction 2025, one of the most important international events for the fruit and vegetable sector. This event brings together companies, producers and professionals from all over the world with the aim of promoting innovation, internationalization and knowledge exchange.
The company was present with a stand in the Innova&Tech area, a space dedicated to technological innovation, where it held an exchange of knowledge with visitors, professionals and institutions in the sector. This participation has allowed the PCUV company to share scientific advances, know first-hand the needs of the market and be up to date with the latest trends and innovations in biotechnology applied to agriculture.
One of the highlights was the scientific-technical talk offered by the ValGenetics team, in which their new platform, Ecoefficacy, was presented. Participation in Fruit Attraction has enabled ValGenetics to bring science closer to the agricultural sector and maintain direct contact with producers, companies and research centres. ValGenetics is a Valencian biotechnology company, based in PCUV, whose main activity focuses on R&D&i and specialized services to the agricultural and agri-food sector, covering plant pathology, plant and microbial genetics, in vitro culture, microbiology, plant physiology, bioinformatics and phytopathological analyses, including emerging and quarantine pathogens.
The company is officially authorized by the Council of Agriculture of the Generalitat Valenciana as a designated laboratory for phytosanitary analyses, thus allowing official records to be issued for the export of plant material. ValGenetics was the first laboratory in Spain authorised to use mass sequencing (NGS) techniques for phytosanitary analyses.
