The University of Valencia Science Park Foundation (FPCUV) is among the institutional entities collaborating in the new edition of this international technological macro-event, which will be held on October 26th and 27th in the City of Arts and Sciences, in a stand with the participation of 25 companies from the Science Park
The University of Valencia Science Park (PCUV) is participating in the next edition of the Valencia Digital Summit 2023 (VDS) along with 25 innovative companies hosted or linked to the PCUV. This international event, which expects to bring together more than 12,000 people from all over the world, will feature 1,500 startups, 450 investors and 150 corporations. Attending organizations will have a physical and demonstrative space in which to exhibit their results of innovation applied to the market in the form of products or services, already marketed or under development, which represent substantial improvements over the state of technology at the present time, improvements for the quality of life of people, for greater industrial efficiency or services, for the environment or for the progress of society.
In this edition of the VDS, the FPCUV will have a premium stand, specifically number 42, thanks to the signing of a collaboration contract with the Valencia Digital Summit, which will benefit 25 companies of the Parc, which will be present. This activity is part of the Innovation Transfer Exhibition Program (PETI), which is supported by the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI), to disseminate and publicize applied innovation generated by the PCUV business ecosystem to the widest possible range of society, with special emphasis on specific audiences of investors, other innovative companies and startups, corporations and large companies and media.
In this sense, Luis Cortés, coordinator of the PETI program, stresses that "it is necessary to publicize, disseminate and disseminate applied innovation generated by the PCUV entrepreneurial ecosystem in order to promote its consolidation and development, to the widest possible set of society with special emphasis on specific audiences of investors, other innovative companies and startups, corporations and the media." Among the benefits for companies located in the Park that participate in the event are: up to 3 tickets (personal) Attendee Pass per company to attend and represent your company; printing of your logo on the stand of the Science Park of the University of Valencia (PCUV) and the possibility of being in the stand and receive visitors; access to the APP of the event where you can close meetings 1: 1 meetings with investors or large companies; representation of the company with a speaker in a session (cross-thematic and innovation-related) of 20 minutes in round table or interview format, as well as in pitch format (3 or 5 minute presentations) of companies; the possibility of participating in the Pitch Competition, which gives selected companies the opportunity to present in front of a selected jury of investors; in addition, participating startups will be able to enjoy Expo village, a specific physical space for demonstration and exhibition of your tangible products, prototypes or equipment. Finally, throughout the two days, spaces will be reserved to meet other companies and investors to expand the network through speed dating.
Likewise, Cortés emphasizes that "the VDS has been transformed and adapted in order to position the Valencian Region as a key region in innovative and technological entrepreneurship at an international level, which has a great impact at a reputational level." In this line, the coordinator of the PETI program highlights that "the PCUV is one of the main actors that make up this innovative regional entrepreneurial ecosystem, with more than 90 companies housed in 12,000 square meters distributed in several buildings with different types of corporate accommodation such as offices, coworking, offices and laboratories that allow the growth and consolidation of small and medium-sized innovative companies, as well as the location of certain units or R&D departments of multinational companies in any sector (biotechnology, medicine and health, pharmacy, ICTs, energy and environment, etc.)."
"Our participation in VDS 2023 also serves to publicize the University of Valencia Science Park, which celebrates its first 15 years of activity in 2024, also to an international audience," says Cortés, while, more specifically, he hopes that "the 25 participating companies achieve fruitful relationships with new or existing customers, corporations, investors, public agents of the administration, media, etc. that can bring them positive results in the form of increased sales, funding, obtaining grants, notoriety, etc."

Round Table and Pitch Session
The international event, which is being held at the City of Arts and Sciences on October 26 and 27, under the slogan "Building the Good Future," will show how technology, innovation and digitalization can change, impact and transform all aspects of our lives. It will address the role of technology in the major social and economic challenges that society will face in the near future. VDS is an enabler of a technology-driven future, born to encourage restless minds eager to build a better tomorrow.
Throughout both days, a variety of topics will be discussed, including: Artificial Intelligence, mobility, sustainability, longevity, women in technology, the future of work and blockchain. On these issues, companies from the University of Valencia Science Park will participate in two events. The first one, a round table, on Thursday, October 26 from 10:40h to 11:00h, entitled "Redefining the Medicine of the Future: Disruptive Advances in Genetics and Biotechnology," which will be formed by representatives of Evolving Therapeutics and Mendel's Brain, and moderated by Kristin Suleng, head of Communication and Marketing of the FPCUV.
In addition, nine companies installed in the PCUV will participate on Thursday, October 26, from 13:30 hours in the University of Valencia Science Park Tenants Pitch Session - Valencia Digital Summit 2023, where representatives of Datipic, S.L., Digital Optical Imaging Technologies, Evolving Therapeutics, Instituto Ibions, Integral Research Group, Mendel's Brain, Poplac Development, Rara Avis Biotec and Robinfy Reclamador will have three minutes to present their companies to the audience.
Also, the FPCUV will hold on November 10 the Conference Good practices in information security management systems: New changes in the ISO 27001 and ENS frameworks, an event that has the support of the Valencia Digital Summit 2023 as a side event.
