IMSdrones, finalist of the III edition of the FEINDEF Foundation Entrepreneurship Awards

The company from the Science Park of the University of Valencia is among the finalists of the III edition of the FEINDEF Foundation Awards for Entrepreneurship for its commitment to ISR solutions Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance for unmanned aircraft systems. IMSdrones will also present its solutions as a speaker on the opening day of the International Fair of Defense and Security FEINDEF

As part of its commitment to promote young talent and its ability to bring advances in the Defense and Security industry, the FEINDEF Foundation announces the III edition of the FEINDEF Foundation Entrepreneurship Awards with the aim of identifying those newly created startups capable of providing disruptive solutions to the main challenges of the Defense and Security sector with the development of new technologies. The winners will be announced during the celebration of the International Defense and Security Fair FEINDEF, to be held from May 17 to 19. It is the only fair in Spain in the defense and security sector institutionally supported by the Ministry of Defense, and is positioned as the most important event of the sector held in the country.

IMSdrones, installed at the Science Park of the University of Valencia (PCUV), has presented an aircraft designed for ISR solutions that includes high-resolution cameras, thermal cameras, radar systems, signal detection and target tracking systems. The data collected by these sensors can be processed to provide valuable information for decision making and planning of operations; rescue, fire, rescue of people among others, in complex orography and maritime scenarios.

Likewise, the company is developing, in response to the growing number of drones operating in European airspace, a Drone Command and Control Center that seeks to ensure the safety and privacy of people on the ground, the integrity of operations and the ability to manage a large number of aircraft by a single operator, including technical and operational requirements for drones, operators and service providers, as well as for communication and coordination between them, seeking to add value to the entire chain.

Objectives 
With these awards the FEINDEF Foundation aims to encourage the development of new technology-based companies in the field of dual-use technologies (civil and military application); to support entrepreneurial talent in the maturation of their business projects through networking with investors, public institutions and private companies; to contribute to the deployment of the innovation strategy of the Spanish Ministry of Defense; and to strengthen the offer of companies that are part of the Spanish Security and Defense sector.
