The ICT company located in the Science Park of the University of Valencia (PCUV) hopes that the new facilities, in which it collaborates with the firm Comet Ingeniería, will contribute to the production of aircraft in accordance with the aeronautical certification system to find new solutions for the sector

IMSdrones, based at the University of Valencia Science Park (PCUV), presented during the visit of the acting President of the Generalitat Valenciana, Ximo Puig, the future facilities at Castellón Airport, which will be shared with the company Comet Ingeniería, and in which they will jointly develop the design and construction of the latest generation of drones.

The opening of these new facilities, as explained by Luis Galindo, CEO of IMSdrones, arises "from the needs of the possibility of having facilities where aircraft can be produced in accordance with the aeronautical certification system." "Likewise, working closer to engineering allows us to explore joint knowledge in search of new solutions," he adds.

"That alliance/collaboration comes in the most natural way. When you work with trust and full collaboration on both sides, the rest is easy", recognizes the CEO of IMSdrones about the collaboration agreement reached with Ingeniería Comet, which he defines as "a well-matched marriage", which comes from an extensive relationship that culminated with the acquisition by Comet of part of the shareholding of the Valencian startup.

Regarding the work areas of each company in the new facilities, Galindo emphasizes that "shared knowledge is part of IMSdrones", and, as he explains, "experience has shown me that when different areas of knowledge are brought together around a problem that affects everyone, very imaginative solutions are achieved". "Then everyone plays their part, some in technical development, others in electronics or software, but at the end of the day, I think it's a team effort," he adds.

As for the goals and objectives set by the Valencian startup, its CEO warns that they do not think "in quotas": "We do not want to die of success. The project is above, and contribute our bit to the industry is an opportunity and a desire shared by both Comet and us, and although we are two companies I like to think that we are a single team with the same goal and total transparency, "he concludes.
