Tourism intelligence, specialized in the development of technological solutions and consulting services for the digital transformation of intelligent tourist destinations, joins the more than 100 companies that make up the business area of the Science Park of the University of Valencia. The company is located in the Innovation Center of the University of Valencia
Tourist Intelligence is a tourism-technology consultancy, specialized in the development of technological solutions and consulting services for the digital transformation of Intelligent Tourist Destinations (DTI) and the development of Regenerative and Circular Tourism Intelligence Systems (SIT-RC). Thus, this company stands as a leader in DTI certification and the promotion of a more intelligent, sustainable, inclusive, skilled and competitive tourism, driving innovation and sustainability in the sector adapted to the needs of each destination.
This consultancy works with multiple institutions and companies. On the one hand, with public sector companies such as local and regional governments interested in the digital and sustainable transformation of their region’s tourism, as well as public tourism and cultural institutions that wish to professionalize their management and improve the visitor experience. On the other hand, they work with companies in the private sector, such as tourist destinations and companies specialized in technology and hotels that seek to improve their positioning, competitiveness and efficiency through market intelligence. They are also oriented towards multilateral agencies and international cooperators that finance sustainability, innovation or digitization programs, as well as research centers interested in open data, tourism analysis and territorial innovation.
"Establishing ourselves in the Science Park is an opportunity to share all the notions and knowledge we have together with companies in the sector and to be able to share different technologies. We seek to consolidate Tourist Intelligence as a technological company in the tourism sector, through alliances and synergies with other companies", María Marcos, commercial manager- marketplace Spain of Tourist Intelligence

The main technology used by the consultant is artificial intelligence, as it is the technological base of its products, as is the case with its management software, Smart Cube. This software, which integrates AI to make strategic decisions, will be launched by Tourist Intelligence on 25 June 2025. This tool will serve as an experiential center for tourism promotion and tourism data generation and, as main applications, will be a manager of experiences with integration to local and national database and a motor of recommendations and personalization.
Another technology promoted by the company is the Local Impact Observatory (SIT-RC), which aims to measure the impact of tourism in terms of social, economic and environmental dimensions. In addition, they develop a Smart Office, that is, an Innovation and Intelligence Technical Office, which is a physical space for the management and interpretation of tourist information.
New stage in the PCUV, consolidation and synergies
Tourism Intelligence was founded 10 years ago and has a multidisciplinary team of ten people specialized in different areas of tourism, such as technology, marketing and data analysis. Now, the company opens a new stage by establishing itself in the new Innovation Building of the Universitat in the business area of the Science Park of the University of Valencia (PCUV).

"Setting up at the Science Park is an opportunity to share all the notions and knowledge we have together with companies in the sector and to be able to share different technologies," explains María Marcos, responsible commercial- marketplace Spain of Tourism Intelligence. As for the objectives of this new stage, Marcos highlights that they seek to consolidate as a technological company in the tourism sector, through alliances and synergies with other companies.
One of the examples of business and academic synergy is the day of Innotransfer "Intelligent and transformative tourism: Keys to economic recovery from open innovation", which was held on May 22 at the UV Science Park and featured interventions by Celia Romero, responsible for tenders and contracting, and Natalia Castro, responsible for the Tourism Visioneer consortium.
"The main result we want to achieve is to strengthen our presence in national and international markets in the field of tourism. Our main challenge is to strengthen our presence in the private sector", explains Marcos.
