Experts in innovation from the state of Paraná (Brazil) visit the Science Park

A delegation of experts in innovation from the state of Paraná (Brazil) visited today the University of Valencia Science Park (PCUV), within the framework of the EU-Latin America cooperation program promoted by the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE). "The objective of the project is to show the regional economic reality, identify priorities for both regions and establish common future projects", underlined Rafael Escamilla, Head of the European Programs area of ​​the institution.

The delegation, formed by government, business and university representatives, has been able to know the installations of the business area of ​​the PCUV accompanied by the vice-rector of Innovation and Transfer, Dolores Real, the director of the Science Park, Juan Antonio Raga, and the manager of the Fundació Parc Científic Universitat de València, Fernando Mª. Zárraga.

After the corresponding work session, they visited the Institute of Genetic Medicine (Imegen), a benchmark company in the field of biotechnology and health, installed in the Science Park.

Throughout the last months, a dynamic of technical interlocution between experts in innovation, agroindustry, ICT, sustainability and cooperation of Paraná and the Valencian Rregion has been set in motion. After the visit of the Brazilian delegation, in the first quarter of 2019 a delegation from the Comunitat Valenciana will travel to the other side of the Atlantic.
