From the Fundation of The Science Park of the University of Valencia (FPCUV) we inform you that the deadline is now open to register for the fifth call of the MediaCiencia competition, a contest of short video or animation developed in 100 seconds, It is part of the Expociència events. The event is aimed at both non-university and university students, with concerns in new audiovisual technologies and science.
The contents of the audiovisual works developed will have science, in all its extent, as the main narrative justification and will be evaluated in the 2025 edition elements that take into account accessibility, inclusion and diversity. The possibilities will be manifold: from the recording of scientific experiments during school hours, science fiction, raising questions relating to science, recordings of external activities, etc. The protagonists may be the same pupils or other persons, not necessarily minors. The main requirement will be that the recording and/or editing is produced and completed by the contestants.
Children and young people show and relate to their environment through reading and creating images, either fixed or in motion. This is a generation of young people with the aim of socialising through new information and communication technologies. This is one of the main visions pursued by Media100cia, given that the fact that they "write" with images the scientific reality around them can be more suggestive and attractive than any other mode of expression. The image is part of "your reality", a reality that can be discovered in a maximum time of 100 seconds.
