The biocosmetics company Helenis Biocosmetics from the Scientific Park of the Universitat de València (PCUV) has recently been recognized in the Beauty Shortlist Awards 2025. Specifically, its anti-aging moisturizer Glow Aging has been awarded in the category RecommendationIn addition to this recognition, the company’s upcoming release, the Microbiome Modulator Cleansing Foam, has received the Editor’s Choice award as part of these awards. This firm was one of the winning proposals at the 13th UMH Marathon, a program managed by the UMH Science Park.
As the promoter of this start-up, Elena Jiménez, points out, these awards are an important recognition for a brand recently created as Helenis Biocosmetics. Helenis Biocosmétics is a start-up located in the scientific and business area of the Science Park of the University of Valencia and focused on R&D, production and marketing of a line of biocosmetics. which includes different products to carry out a complete routine. In this sense, the company currently has three products on the market: Glow Aging Cream, Immunoshower and WOW Effect. The first of them is a facial cream highly concentrated in antioxidant oils that increases hydration, elasticity and firmness of the skin and the Immunoshower is a bath gel and shampoo with microbial extract of Nordic forest formulated to nourish the skin maintaining and enriching its microbial diversity, relieving redness and irritation in babies, children and adults. For its part, the WOW! EFFECT is a product that combines natural ingredients and advanced biotechnology to improve the overall appearance of the skin and combat the signs of aging. It also protects against blue light from the screens and cares for the skin’s microbiota.
All these developments have in common that they seek to correct the skin imbalance through biotechnological assets capable of modulating communities of microorganisms and treat them naturally.
