Program Momentum

Momentum was created with the aim of promoting a new generation of professionals with advanced digital skills that can be retained in the Spanish science and innovation ecosystem by hiring and training research and technical personnel for 48 months. The program is part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), which is articulated through the National Digital Skills Plan.

Aware of the challenges and opportunities posed by the digital era, this program is conceived as an engine of transformation whose main objective is to attract, train and retain highly qualified talent in strategic areas of science and technology, strengthening the capacity of CSIC and Spain in research, innovation, entrepreneurship and public-private collaboration, contributing to the social and economic progress of society.

The initiative, which has 58 million euros, is articulated through research projects in the field of artificial intelligence, digitization and related technologies, which will include the recruitment of research and technical personnel profiles with degrees in various areas of knowledge and under the modalities of pre-doctoral, graduate and postdoctoral contracts. The positions offered can be consulted in the Momentum opportunities catalog, hosted on the Program's website (www.momentum.csic.es). The CSIC Job Bank will be the selection mechanism for accessing available and widely advertised jobs, respecting the constitutional principles of transparency, equality, merit and capacity, which govern access to public employment.
