The University of Valencia Science Park Foundation (FPCUV) launches the 2025 edition of the Crece Sostenible programme, an initiative aimed at innovative companies in the scientific parks of Valencia’s public universities, with the aim of integrating sustainability into their management and growth

Following the pilot experience developed in 2024 at the UV Science Park (PCUV) on the occasion of the training workshops on Sustainability Vectors, this new edition of Crece Sostenible is part of the strategy to promote sustainability of the Ministry of Finance and Economy, which promotes the Register of Valencian Socially Responsible Entities.

The programme, which will run from September to October 2025, will provide SMEs with a comprehensive roadmap of tools and know-how. In a first phase, the participating companies will carry out a diagnosis of their sustainability situation, analysing environmental, social and governance aspects which will enable them to identify concrete areas for improvement. Subsequently, through training sessions, they will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the latest European regulatory frameworks, such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), as well as with the most recognized ESG certifications and standards in the business sector.

The tour will culminate in an individualized accompaniment that will help each entity to define specific actions and design roadmaps adapted to its reality. In this way, companies will be able to advance in their sustainable maturity, prepare to comply with future legal requirements and, at the same time, take advantage of the competitive advantages that integrating sustainability as a strategic axis into their business model.

These face-to-face sessions will be complemented by individualised online support, designed so that each SME can review in detail its internal resources, set realistic objectives and define an action plan adapted to its level of maturity.

Beyond training, participation in Crece Sostenible represents a strategic opportunity for the participating entities. The programme will enable them to strengthen their corporate image and reputation, while opening the door to competitive advantages such as access to green finance, the possibility of integrating into increasingly demanding value chains in terms of sustainability, the attraction of talent motivated by working in purposeful organizations. In addition, networking between the enterprises of the science parks will encourage the creation of synergies and collaborations in joint projects aimed at sustainable innovation.

In order to amplify the impact of the programme, the UV Science Park will prepare and disseminate information sheets and graphic materials that reflect the lessons learned and good practices from this edition. In this way, the knowledge generated will be transferred to the whole entrepreneurial ecosystem, reinforcing the idea that sustainability is no longer just an option but a key factor of competitiveness and growth for innovative SMEs.
