The Network of Valencian Science Parks (rePCV) has elected as its new president the director-manager of the Miguel Hernández University Science Park (PCUMH) of Elche, Tonia Salinas, a position she will hold until 2025. At the annual meeting that the board of directors held in June at the campus of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) in Gandia, it was also decided that the vice-presidency of the organization would go to the Universitat Jaume I (UJI) and the secretariat to the Science Park of Alicante (PCA). In this meeting, in addition, the accounts of the previous year were presented and approved, the different activities carried out by the managing entities were discussed and the next projects were reflected upon.
"It is an honor to pick up the baton from Juan Antonio Bertolín, manager of the Fundació General de la UJI and director of Espaitec, and to have the opportunity to defend the rights and interests of the group of companies, entities and research institutes that house the five science parks of the Valencian Community", says Salinas, director-manager of the PCUMH. And she adds: "In this sense, we will continue to value the wealth they generate for our environment and society, thus enabling the retention of talent in our Community".

The rePCV brings together the five science parks of the Valencian public universities: the Science Park of the Miguel Hernández University of Elche; Espaitec, Science and Technology Park of the Jaume I University of Castelló; the Science Park of the University of Valencia; the Polytechnic City of Innovation of the Polytechnic University of Valencia; and the Science Park of Alicante-University of Alicante.
The aim of the rePCV is to increase the region's wealth, promote the culture of innovation and foster the competitiveness of companies and knowledge-generating institutions located in or associated with the science parks. Also, to promote the diversification and growth of a new business and industrial fabric, quality, differentiated and committed to social responsibility policies.
