Written by admin | 19/05/2023

The organization of the awards falls this year to the Parc Científic de la Universitat de València (PCUV), which celebrates the fifth edition under the slogan '5 parks, V editions'. The deadline for the submission of nominations is June 9.

Recognize and reward the activity of entrepreneurial and business initiatives based on their growth, innovative character, business strategy and contribution to the environment. This is the aim of the awards organized for the fifth consecutive year by the Network of Valencian Science Parks (rePCV), of which the University of Valencia Science Park (PCUV) is a member, and which this year is organizing the awards. The initiative is supported by the Agència Valenciana de la Innovació (AVI). Companies interested in participating (they cannot do so if they have been awarded in previous editions) can send their application until June 9 at 14:00 hours through the website https://premiosrepcv.net/.

This call has three categories: "Spin-off Award", "Start-up Award" and "Business-University Collaboration Awards". In this fifth edition, each category will have a winner and up to two runner-up prizes for each of them.

Honorary awards will consist of diplomas of recognition and trophies, with one prize and up to two runner-up prizes for each category. The companies that win the award in each of the three categories will be entitled to apply for up to two tickets to Transfiere 2024. In addition, the organizing park of the fifth edition, corresponding to the PCUV, as an entity that will participate in the Valencia Digital Summit 2023, offers the awarded companies the possibility of participating in this international technological meeting.

The rePCV seeks to contribute to the development and consolidation of companies created and developed with the support of the five Valencian science parks.

The first category, "Spin-off Award", seeks to recognize companies promoted by Teaching and Research Staff (PDI), PhDs or doctoral students that have been created from the exploitation of research results and are linked to any of the Valencian science parks.

For its part, the "Start-up Award" category is aimed at innovative companies promoted by students or alumni of any of the Valencian public universities. These companies must be located in or linked to any of the Valencian science parks and be incorporated after June 30, 2018.

Likewise, the "Business-University Collaboration Award" is aimed at companies that participate with any of the Valencian public universities in R&D programs and/or projects whose results have contributed to establish a close and continued relationship of collaboration, as well as to the development of the Valencian economy.

The formal presentation of the awards will be held at a public ceremony in the Marie Curie Auditorium of the Science Park of the University of Valencia (PCUV) on Friday, June 30, 2023.

With these awards, the rePCV seeks to contribute to the development and consolidation of companies created and developed with the support of the five Valencian science parks. It also seeks to promote and strengthen the entrepreneurial spirit in the five Valencian science parks and to promote and strengthen University-Business relations. The winners will be announced through publication on the awards website.
