IFIC working on adapting experiments to the LHC’s great future potential

Written by admin | 15/06/2018

The Institute for Corpuscular Physics has been making improvements to the ATLAS and LHCb experiments to accommodate the increase in collisions expected from 2026 in the largest particle accelerator in the world. CERN is currently celebrating the start of the civil engineering work on the High Luminosity LHC, which marks a fresh milestone in the history of CERN. This update to the Large Hadron Collider will improve its performance and increase the likelihood of discoveries of new physics phenomena.
