Responsible for the Social Innovation Science Park (SISP) of Uniminuto, one of the reference entrepreneurship ecosystems in the Colombian city of Bogotá, have met with their counterparts at the University of Valencia Science Park Foundation to establish lines of collaboration between the two institutions.
As a first action measure, it has been proposed that the SISP will form part of the actions foreseen in the work plan 2018 of the Cyted-Agroinncuba network, of which the UVSPF is coordinator. "The purpose of this collaboration is to favor the international development of the companies housed in UVSP and SISP, in this case in the markets of Latin America and Spain", the manager of the UVSPF, Fernando M. Zárraga, has explained.
At the same time, the Social Appropriation of Knowledge of the PCIS director, Leonor Avella, has been "very interested" in the Parc Científic management model. "At this moment in the SISP we are considering a change in our model towards approaches very similar to that of the UVSP, so knowing firsthand the results obtained in the eight years that it has been in operation will be very useful in order to restructure our organization", she said. The Social Innovation Science Park depends directly on the University of Bogotá, the largest in Colombia - it has approximately 130,000 students - and with great experience in social innovation.
Agroinncuba
Sponsored by the Ibero-American Program of Science and Technology for Development (Cyted), the Agroinncuba network has as its main objective the creation of innovative startups in the agri-food sector, since it can be a key factor for the development of the new economy in Ibero-America.
