The start-up Veganic, a company located in the scientific-business area of the Science Park of the University of Valencia and startup incubated by AgrotecUV, has been awarded at the EmprendeXXI Awards as the company with the greatest impact in the Valencian Community. These awards, promoted by CaixaBank through DayOne, its division specialized in technology companies and their investors, and the Ministry of Industry and Tourism through Enisa, celebrate this year its 18th edition. The territorial delivery of these awards in the Valencia region is supported by CEEI Valencia, IVACE+i and Startup Valencia.
Veganic is a biotechnology-focused research company responsible for developing innovative solutions for sustainable and environmentally friendly agriculture. Through cruelty free, organic and vegan products, they develop unique and natural solutions for agriculture. Your project has been selected from the 116 applications submitted in the last edition of the awards in the Valencian Community, 10% more than in the previous edition. The EmprendeXXI Awards, which reach their majority this year, have been consolidated as a key reference for the entrepreneurial ecosystem, both at national and autonomous level.
Thanks to this recognition, Veganic has received a cash prize of 6,000 euros. In addition, the company will have access to a Moonshot Thinking training program in collaboration with ESADE and will also travel to Berlin to complete the international accompaniment in an initiative organized with ICEX. Veganic will also have the opportunity to participate in the Investors Day EmprendeXXI, days during which you can keep in touch with the investor ecosystem and companies interested in collaborating with entrepreneurship.

On the other hand, the company will be part of the AlumniXXI community, which has established itself as a meeting point for the exchange of knowledge, ideas and experiences between the founders of the companies awarded throughout the history of the EmprendeXXI Awards. It is an initiative that combines a virtual community and face-to-face meetings that helps strengthen links and create synergies between the winners and the entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem.

The presentation of the EmprendeXXI Awards, held within the framework of the DayOne Innovation Summit Comunitat Valenciana, was attended by Olga García, territorial director of CaixaBank in the Comunitat Valenciana and Region of Murcia; Marian Cano, Innovation Councillor, Industry, Commerce and Tourism; Paula Llobet, Councillor for Tourism, Innovation and Attracting Investment from the Valencia City Council; and Pedro Da Silva, Director of Accounting and Finance at Enisa, among others.
The jury to select the winning company was composed of relevant names from the regional entrepreneurship ecosystem. In addition, participated in the round table held, Francho García, CEO of Arkadia Space and Enrique Penichet, director of Draper B1, winning companies from previous editions.
In addition to Veganic, the event was attended by the other finalist start-ups in the Valencia region, who had the opportunity to present their projects. These companies also include Madeinplant, a startup that is also incubated within AgrotecUV and was also recently awarded at the Levante-EMV Agriculture awards.
The national awards of the 18th edition will be given on 3 June in Madrid, during a special gala to celebrate this anniversary, which has been consolidated as the most successful and recognized awards in our country.
About AgrotecUV
AgrotecUV is the business incubator that was born as an initiative of the University of Valencia and the University Science Park Foundation. Works with start-ups related to the agri-food sector and supports them in transforming the sector into a sustainable, healthy, inclusive system, adapted to consumer needs and capable of addressing climate challenges. Thus, this project seeks to promote the transfer of scientific knowledge in the agri-food sector, stimulating innovation processes, generating a knowledge ecosystem, technology and infrastructure that add value to technology-based, innovative and sustainable enterprises.
It is co-financed by the INCYDE Foundation, within the framework of the FEDER Operational Programme, through the Spanish Chamber of Commerce. AgrotecUV is part of the project "High-Tech Incubators for the promotion of innovation and technology transfer to micropymes", aimed at promoting a modernization of the productive fabric of the regions. The Incubators are created as a driving force in line with the objectives of the EU 2020 Strategy and Horizon 2020. It currently has 24 companies, including Madeinplant.
